Goal: Build a sense of teamwork and set the stage

Focus: Being able to successfully have a developed project plan/idea lead to a tangible prototype that can be used for competition

Time: 1 week to complete

Student teams are created. Have students either self-select or assign teams
Engage in a simple class and/or team-building project/activity (depending on time, choose from activities provided).
Teams gain a sense of identity. Students create their own team name, and assign potential roles (e.g. Leader/manager, Presentation lead, Writing/Scribe Lead, Build Lead)
Teams begin discussing potential problems, brainstorming ideas
